Yeah this level really doesn't try hard enough. First the description,
An epic, sprawling level with multiple endings, an in-depth plot and some beautiful environments! I fear any screenies would ruin it though...
is really pretty suspicious to start with. The vague, generic description of a supposedly great level is a dead giveaway. No one really actually posts levels with stuff like this.
Some misleading screenies (maybe like of screens technically in the level, but not accessible in normal playing) would help. Saying screenies would ruin it is also a giveaway; it really sets up the idea in the mind of the reader that the level is a one-screen joke level.
Then the level itself. Nothing happens. No intro or ending, just several dull, tedious screens. The moment you get past the absent intro and see the first screen, it confirms all the suspicions about the jokeiness of the level. The best joke-y levels work by subverting the player's expectations. This doesn't do that. The only possible expectations that the player could gather are from this forum post- nothing in the level sets the player up. But, of course, anyone with much experience with user-made levels (especially joke levels) is going to see right through the post.
So, try harder next time.
