well i haven't beat it yet, but here's my opinion. it's ambitious and i like the different tweaks used in ks advanced. but there's a lot of... i dont know, design choices that seem strange.
lots of specific examples:
like the use of one very plain tileset through most of the level, random 'no climb' blocks, and the story is interesting and the acting is good, but the gameplay doesn't seem to compliment or tie into the story very much. then, the part where you get the umbrella, i never found where the code was, if there is one, so i just guessed until i got it. that was annoying. the part with the lava where you use the umbrella to float above it, just looks and plays weird, it wasn't a rewarding challenge i guess? and i found the keys and went though all the weird stuff, but didn't really 'get' any of it. i see that she's supposed to be crazy, but the level doesn't really reinforce whats happening on its own. its like the cutscenes were one thing and the level was another. but i went throught that area and all the tricks were cool, like the bouncing projectiles and all that. i thought it was the end, but then i popped back into the level. so i found some switches and flipped them, hit a red '!' mark and then couldn't figure out what to do. and since none of things i was doing really made sense with the story, i gave it up for now.
sorry its so long, but yall put so much time into it, i thought id give you a full explanation. anyway, thats just how it came off when i played it, maybe i was missing something? so ill sum it up like this: i like the special tricks, the cutscenes, and the ksadvanced
, but the level itself was pretty bare and confusing.
