By the way, in cutscenes, what is the showbar option for? I mean, I set it to 1, tested and saw it come up, but what is it really for? Or is it just for neatness with subtitles?

Because whatever timing I set on my scene, the bar only shows up for a second...

I'm finding KSA barely does the wall-swim save glitch any more. I think i've traced it down to shift saves (at least for me). Re-spawning from normal saves seems to be fine, but when i re-spawn to a shift save, I often end up a few pixels into the ground. also, It seems to get worse the closer you are to the re-spawn point. (I killed myself on spikes one square away from a shift-save I had set up and ended 3/4 in the ground!)
I'm not dead. Not entirely. And yes, I'm embarrassed by most of the posts I made here.

Please do not expect any further updates regarding KSA. I have many other projects now, and have basically moved on to other things. If you have questions regarding KSA, please ask here, but do not expect me to answer. I will also not be releasing the source or other materials. Other KS mods may use concepts from KSA, but I would like any graphics that are not original KS or slightly modified KS graphics to not be used anywhere. (Example, the KSA logo which is 100% original). If Nifflas sees problems with this or would like the source, etc, I will comply. Note that I will not offer support for KSA anymore, if that concerns you, then I recommend using normal KS. To that end, tho, if you like KSA then please enjoy it. I may or may not release an already-half-way-done version of KSA, that is much better, but do not expect it. In the same such fashion, I may release the source at a later date. It's very much up in the air right now. I am very happy that people like this mod, and I'm sure everyone was waiting for a new version. I can't say you'll get one, I am very sorry. I would like to end this on the note that you will see more of my creations eventually, but like everything else, I don't know when. Farewell, and enjoy KSA as-is. \o_

I'll make it really clear for you: Graphics I made for KSA I would prefer not to be used ANYWHERE for ANY REASON. I personally don't care what you do with graphics you personally made for your KS/A level. I'm pretty sure you knew exactly what I meant.

Is this half finished version already, well, finished? I'd love to see it! If there's one thing I'm curious about, then it's what the code is for timed shifts.
No, the half finished version is, well. 'Half Finished'. As for the timed shifts, it isn't going to work even if I told it to you, which is the main reason I haven't told many what the code is. It's nasty, buggy, and frankly not even in the new 'half finished' version.

I'm sad that you're discontinuing this. It had so much potential that it just never filled out. But it also had plenty that it did.

Sorry if this question has already been answered.  I'm fresh into KSA and this is an old discussion.   Thanks for the tweaking tips for using the regular editor, but...

where can I download Looki's Modified Editor?

PA

Either:
1. Rename KSAdvanced.exe to 'Knytt Stories.exe'
Or
2. Download Looki's Modified Level Editor and open the file (in the worlds folder) 'EditorSettings.temp', change/add the lines:
Code: [Select]
[Looki]
Executable=KSAdvanced.exe
Then use Looki's editor for KSA.


The first option is easier.... X)

Knytt Stories Advanced aka KSA is my mod for Knytt Stories.
KSA has a lot of features, but be warned that KSA is not done, complete, or, most of all, bug proof. I'd recommend you PM me any suggestions or bugs, and keep the topic solely to the discussion of your opinions on KSA.

I apologize for that. I no longer support KSA personally, and I actually don't even have it on my current harddrive. If someone has it and wants to provide it, then by all means.. In the meantime I will look around my backups and edit this post when I have more information. Thanks for the interest in it, though. :)

EDIT: It has been found, and LPChip has kindly offered to host it for the sake of supporting levels that used it. He should have a link later. Thanks LPChip! :^^:
