Just wanted to say I'm trying to put together a level for this and it looks like it'll be ready just in time before the deadline (albeit barely!).

I'm going to try to make something in one day. Yesterday I thought about this off and on and couldn't come up with any ideas, or I should say I couldn't come up with any ideas that would fit in less than fifty screens using original KS. Still, I'll give it another shot today.

Seconded!

I'm going to try to make something in one day.

:whoa:

Aaaand here's my entry. Hopefully it is un-epic enough!

[ The White Spire ]

It may or may not meet the "50 screens max" requirement depending on how strict the rule is intended to be. I'm guessing that duplicate rooms with little to no differences between them (e.g. on/off switches implemented via screen shifting) don't count towards the total. However, I wasn't sure if alternate versions of the same screen with altered challenges/layout (for the two difficulty settings) would get the same treatment. I assumed they *do* count just to be on the safe side, but if that's not the case, I'll probably update the level after the compo to add lunatic versions of some of the screens I left untouched :P

Thanks, a one-day un-epic level was too ambitious. I only managed five screens. I can't wait to show you what I'm making though.

I'm hopping aboard the level train and making a level for this contest. Not sure it will follow the spirit of the contest, as it is guaranteed to be epic, but it will no doubt follow all of the rules.  :)

I humbly submit One Epic Screen for your consideration.

I am afraid it might be simply too Epic to properly compete in this competition, but it definitely meets all of the criteria and rules, including a ham-fisted reference to Nighttime definitely not added at the last minute.

Since hamfisted, last-minute nighttime stuff is apparently okay, i edited that thing i showed off on Niffcord to be compliant with the contest rules.

Here you go.

I hereby submit Island of Mimir for your judgement. I also want to formally concede because it was started in 2009 by someone else and it exceeds the size limit twice over.

If I hadn't made it for this competition it would certainly be a KS+ level and it may not have included any nighttime. So, I'm not just submitting it to be cheeky. I couldn't abide by the size limit, because I had to give it the space it deserved out of respect for the original author's work.

If you do play it with KS+, two of the cutscenes fade to black and single-pass rendering is enabled for a better experience, but original KS users will not miss out on anything.
