Epic Level Contest V3 - Winner Announced
« on: March 11, 2020, 21:14:03 »
The favourite level of the compo was LPChip Hooray Fun Time. However, as was mentioned, it is ineligible for the prize.

Here is the list of levels according to votes:

1. LPChip Hooray Fun Time
2. Petals II
3. Forgotten Realms

So this means Talps wins the prize with Petals II. Congrats, Talps. :)

Count me in, coach. 200 screens is nuttin!
Things to remember when writing figures of speech and sound:
The power of poetry comes from the ability to defy logic. Defy logic often.

Use a metaphor and tell us that your lover is the sky. Tell us that your lover is the sky. When you do that, we won't believe you. We won't believe you because saying so makes no sense, but we'll see a meaning. We'll see a meaning.

The other thing is the ability to be remembered. Love anything.

Love anything

Would it be ok for me to submit Forgotten Realms to the compo even though it was started in 2018 (and finished this year)? I'm guessing it'd be subjected to a score penalty, but I'm ok with that. Since I highly doubt I'll be able to make another epic level again in my lifetime, I might as well participate with what I got :P

I'm fine with you submitting Forgotten Realms. The penalty will depend on how many other levels are submitted.

Since I didn't really make it official back then when I asked about it: I hereby submit Forgotten Realms to the compo!

I'm not sure if I missed this post or forgot about it, not expecting to work on anything big again. As it happens, lockdown has given me time and energy to work on something this year, but I don't know if I'll be finished by January... Guess we'll have to see how it goes. I'm getting a lot done at the moment but the next (and final) area will probably be quite a bit slower.

@Talps Well that's okay. Only 1 level submitted so far. So it's easily possible to extend deadline if necessary to allow more levels to be submitted. I guess we'll see if any more levels are submitted between now and then.

LPChip Hooray Fun Time could be entered just so Reditus has something to beat. I had hoped to at least work on a level of my own, but then I joined the The Machine project.

One year might be too long. We'll start smaller and add more time if necessary.

New deadline is July 1, 2021

So far two levels have been submitted. The deadline is still pretty far away but I'm curious if anyone else has something in the works. :)

Hey all. I moved two weeks ago and haven't been able to set up internet yet; currently using a temporary hotspot. So the submission deadline and opening for voting probably won't happen exactly as planned on the specific dates. It'll still be relatively close though. When I can get full internet I'll make a post and it'll be the end of the submission period. Should be about another week or so to give you an estimate.
