Well i guess this post is to show that im still working on it..
umm i realised that im better at making small levels than large XD
and that i have too many ideas but little interests in them.

There are going to be some major changes as my mind has gone into overdrive and has realised how stupid i was before....im going back to the roots
I have actually now have created a proper storyline for it also.
And the level is going to be "darker" than before
heres a line from a diary in my level.

"The man that lived in room 456 was found dead earlier today,
the neighbours reported screaming within that room.
When we finally enter the room there was an awful odour,
his corpse was resting on a nearby chair .
His eyes were missing, his fingers stained with blood.
A message on the wall 'They linger.' "

Umm yeah, this is still being worked on and stuff... i might as well post some sort of screen .. right?

Hows the empty corridor coming?  Any chance of holiday workaholic marathons on it?

I'm not sure Knytt Stories can pull off gore (visually and gameplaywise), but I'm curious and there's nice things done, keep at it!

Holiday workaholic marathon - check
Knytt stories blood and gore - check
(obviously 8-bit or 4-bit style and its not that bad, like a pool of blood here, entrails there its quite infrequent)
Is this being worked on still - check
although as all of you probably know it is a slow progression because im lazy and forgetfull
Thank god i checked this thread as it has jogged my memory and spured me back into action
also A MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL! and all a good night, i need sleep.

looks nice. the color scheme in the hallway reminds me of Mirror's Edge a bit.
If someone could make a Knytt Edge that would be cool
but i dont think anyone would  :/

also thanks for the comments  :D

I will do this. Yes... I WILL do this.
Once I'm finished w/ my mod. :/

Well as you and I know this has died.
But we all knew that in the deepest parts of our hearts, but yet
I am not that cruel, i will do what i do best ... short levels.
So i will blow off the cobwebs, cut and paste the numerous parts of
what i did of Empty Corridor and release them in small segments/small levels.
And perhaps jazz some parts up.
... I guess that's the least i can do.

As for when i will do this? I've got next week off, literally no one wants me and this is a good thing.

Well at least i learned something in all of this, big levels  XD or even medium levels are not for me.
Sigh ... it's been a shit, long, good, hair-pulling, frustrating, rewarding run.

Sorry for the double post but my computer messes with me when i try to add to much to one post... sigh
ANYWAY i have realized i can't just let out a little of the level every time,
what i have to do is literally have the same level design but each release i give out
will allow you to get to different areas whilst also stopping you from getting to some in the past.
Technically i have made it slightly more difficult for myself but if i want to tell this broken story
i might as well tell it the way i want.

 X-P    :/ :S  8D X) ....  :^^:

That's great news :)
And actually, that isn't a bad idea at all. It would be more like chapters of a larger story..
I feel like a lot of people could get in to that idea..
Anyway, I really like some of these screens, classic SD eerie-ness.
Nice to see you alive, sir. :D

Having been one of the testers, I'd like to say 1. it's about time I see you doing something with this.  C)p  and 2.  don't actually worry about how long it takes.  I don't!  I've just started the beta testing of a level I've been working on for going on 7 months now!  :)

Very looking forward to seeing what you'll do with this.

Aw. Well, it would be great to see more levels from you in any case, SD, but really, maybe you could eventually finish this as a large level? It was so awesome, having that large environment to explore and everything. I realize a large level takes a long time and a lot of dedication (the only large level I have ever started has long been abandoned ), but, but... eh.
