Its Jolicloud Linux, based on Ubuntu 9.04.

It's called Jolicloud. I'm not using it anymore though, as the HTML5 Desktop is kind of buggy.

Spent around 3-4 hours making up a new wallpaper for meself and felt the urge to flaunt it.

Are you using special Windows 7 themes with the UXTheme patch then? Note, you often need to replace some files, like explorer.exe and some dll files.

I've managed to get different themes working, but the gain just isn't worth the trouble. If you want to look into something really interesting, look up Dream Scene for Windows 7. It'll allow you to play a movie as background picture!

What anime/manga is that from?

This is not a screen shot, but it's essentially what my desktops have always looked like. The image is the property of the company with the logo on it. The minimalist icons were made by me in ages past. I'm showing the tiny versions next to the normal sized ones. Sometimes I change the image, but I always come back to this Samurai Jack background.

It's from Neon Genesis Evangelion, really amazing anime ^^
