Exalok Tileset & CO Series -- feedback?

Here, have some tilesets in progress :0
Only have two I'm willing to show for now, mostly to get some opinions and advice on how they're developing. If you look at each group you'll see two versions: one is my original version (in the sewer's case it's getting really, really old by now) and the next is the one I've been working on very recently following my little brother's advice (he's got a lot more experience than me in the spriting department).
COs -->
Spoiler:
(click to show/hide)
(large rat, twitches tail and ears, speed 200)
(rat with flower, eats biscuit, speed 300)
(small rat, turns head, speed 200)
(small rat, twitches nose, speed 300)
(small rat, twitches tail, speed 200)
A Dank Sewer -->
Spoiler:
(click to show/hide)
What a Tiny House -->
Spoiler:
(click to show/hide)
Wind and Grass -->
Spoiler:
(click to show/hide)
Multi-Purpose Cellar -->
Spoiler:
(click to show/hide)
The Spiders' Lair -->
Spoiler:
(click to show/hide)
So! Would you have any remarks to make on the main blocks for the sewer, as in to make them fit in better with the lineless style of the objects? Any suggestions for things I could add to the house objects?
Thanks in advance, and hope you enjoy :3
UPDATE: I've put up some COs and extra material for the Spider's Lair! About the COs -- the extra lines of static character are so the actions don't feel too close together. I haven't yet properly tested them all, so the size may change :3

You're supposed to remove the blue background (from the template) on the tiles you made. Try it in the editor and you'll see what I mean.

Oh yeah, no worries, I know that - since they're not yet finished and the different elements are still visible I thought it'd be fine like this, at least for the whole asking criticism part of things? Also I was too lazy to make all the necessary changes :°
I'll go do that now then.

It's just that with the background It was really hard to make out some details.
Overall the newer version without the outlines looks a lot better pretty much everywhere, except maybe for the sewer pipes, they look too flat now. You can still have a large shadow to emphasize the volume, but it doesn't have to split the pipe precisely in half like in the original version.

Okay! Tried to make the shadow bigger, hope it's large enough now to give an impression of depth. Should I add another in-between shade for the shadow, maybe?
Also: added another tileset. It's a lot more full, mostly because I wanted to be able to make as many different hilly things as possible. I'll probably be taking a lot of things out.

While I think the borderless versions represent an aesthetic step-up, I think it would be worthwhile to continue developing these tilesets in the original style as well; it fits perfectly with Imaddo's tilesets, which are used pretty extensively.

Hmm...
So I guess I'll keep the two versions up and work on both?
And thank you both for the advice! :3

Thank you! :0 I'll try to make some for each type of tileset, though in the case of Tiny House it might not be necessary. The different items are pretty self-explanatory. Maybe to show the use of different item heights??? I will see.

New screenshots and tilesets available :3 I'll probably redo the teeny spiderwebs, and maybe the weird-looking medium one. If I do they'll all end up in the style of the big one.

Thank you!
Sorry for the considerable wait, as usual I was off doing random stuff instead of concentrating on my various projects.
I have now added a few Custom Objects and updated those horrifying spiderwebs! :0 The Lair tileset hasn't yet been updated because I'm going to be adding some white-lined ground tiles in the freed-up space. In any case, I hope you all like the new webs.

I'm pretty sure the spiderwebs will look even more amazing if you give them about 50% transparency.
You usually don't see spiderwebs unless you focus anyway.

Oooh that's an interesting idea, LPChip! Hmmm... These are mostly the old, dusty kind of spiderweb, but I'll play around with transparency and see what it gives.
Heheh, glad I seem to be inspiring a few xD
