Shalev

[Challenge/Normal]
Medium
Level is at least 90% done (as I see it now, this obviously could all change)
Looking for 1 or 2 testers

Shalev is a themed world divided into six related parts. The level has an explorative element to it, but the main goal is to discover a secret metaphysical snowflake. It takes place at night, and there are a lot of waterfalls. I’m mostly looking for help catching wallswims and the like, but other advice is welcome too.

Edit: three lovely people have volunteered to test my level.  <3

DLFoDT (placeholder title)
[Misc/Easy]
Small
90% Completed, no sound yet
Want at least 2 testers
Uses KS+

There are a lot of shifts in this level, with the primary element being its story. Definitely looking for bad shifts, sequence breaking, wallswims, and SGEs, as well as an emphasis on feedback of the story. Does it make sense? Is it confusing? Which parts? Maybe ways to make it sound more natural, etc.

PM me!

Thanks to all people to volunteered to test for me!

The CGA Temple (working title)

[Playground/Challenge] [Normal]
[Small]
Level is finished (only missing the title screen and a couple other minor details)
Looking for 1 tester
Requires KS+

Edit: Already got a volunteer for this one. Thanks!

This is a small, VERY retro-styled exploration level with some light jumping challenges and puzzles. It uses KS+'s map and collectibles (finding all the artifacts will unlock an extra area). I'm looking for someone willing to play through the entire level once and give me some general feedback before I release it.

PLEASE NOTE: The level was made to resemble a very old PC DOS game, complete with 4-color graphics and (fake) beeper SFX and music, so the aesthetics here may not be your cup of tea (and I wouldn't blame you!).

Hey Vegetal Gibber, given that the CGA games are from my childhood, I'd love to test your level. I can probably provide suggestions on how to improve given that I have plenty of experience with CGA and games from that era. I guess the aesthetics would therefor actually be my cup of tea. :)

Gentlemen, a boon! (Also ladies. Ladies, a boon! Also!)

I have spent precisely some hours over the last couple of weeks adding a new feature to 'Dragon Myth'. In doing so, I have meddled with a lot of shifts, warps, flags and COs and before I release the new version I want to make sure I haven't broken everything anything everything.

I wonder if anyone would be willing to play through the level for me to check because I have played it waaaaaay too much in adding this feature. Ideally I would like you to play through it twice (more details will be given on this to anyone who volunteers) though if that hurts too much, once will be a big help, too.

Also, doing this for me will require you to collect the five hidden golden creatures and complete the Bonus Area unlocked by collecting the aforementioned golden creatures. This is because the New Feature is found by completing the bonus area. I will tell any volunteers how to find them, so you must either not mind having this spoiled, or have found them already by virtue of your incredible genius and also attractiveness.

Thank you in advance!

I was actually thinking of replaying Dragon Myth sometime soon, so I wouldn't mind taking a stab at this :)

Iuno (now surpassed 3 testers - feel free to volunteer, but I'll probably have enough consensus on how the level is going by then)
[Challenge/Medium/Very Hard (think Dark Sea but a bit easier? Not much difficulty curve at the moment)]
Mostly need design feedback before I go any further. Looking for at least 3 testers, although that might be half of the active community at the moment. :P
Should work in vanilla KS.

PM me if you're on board.

The Hidden Forest

[Challenge / Environmental] [Hard]
[Large]
Level is 100% finished
Looking for really anyone who wants to test it!

This is my first custom Knytt Level. As Juni, you explore a bunch of different environments. It's a simple "new region = new power-up" model, that requires a decent amount of back-tracking to places you couldn't access before. I'd love any thoughts people might have on the difficulty, story, et cetera.
One thing I'll note: There are two rooms in particular with a bunch of hidden spikes. Don't get discouraged! It might be super annoying, but I swear it gets better. I feel like a spike room is sort of obligatory...

Oh, and I saw that some dude decided to do a playthrough of the level on YouTube, so if you get stuck, check that out. (He actually solves the spike room a different way than I did...)

Thank you!

Oh, I thought I had played it by looking at the publication date on the archive but I guess not really.
Perhaps I will be going through this level this week or the next.

Forgotten Realms

[Challenge/Playground/Normal]
Large (~350 screens in current build)
Level is about 85% done
Works in Vanilla KS (playing in KS+ enables extra graphical features)
Looking for 1 tester

Forgotten Realms (click title to go to the preview thread) is a rather big exploration-based level with a bit of everything (some areas are purely environmental, whereas others are more challenge-based or contain some puzzles/mazes). I'm looking for one person willing to play through the current alpha version and then providing me with as much feedback as possible, as well as report any functional problems they might encounter. If you want to take on a more active role, suggestions about challenges, enemy placement and even themes for the upcoming bonus areas are also very welcome!

Reply here or PM me if you're interested.

Already got a volunteer. Thanks for the quick responses!
