Stuck in coin room (35,11)
« on: November 12, 2013, 19:24:53 »
I'm trying to get this coin in 35,11 but I'm completely tapped of ideas. What's the best way to get this goddamn coin?!

Is there an in-game item or something I pick up that will show this room as 35, 11? I've been writing up every item and NPC I come across, and I have this at 36, 11.

Everyone seem to use left to right x-coordinates and top to bottom y-coordinates, both starting at 0, when talking about locations in the game. I'd think left-right, bottom-too, 1-based is more natural,  so maybe there's a reason why that isn't used?

I think the PSV version has map coordinates. There's also this third party tool which should view the coordinates on the PC version (I think there was also a simple script for just that, but I couldn't find it).

By the way, this is how the game itself maps the rooms; coordinates are only used inside the World.bin file, but there's also the Default Saves .ini you can look at to see what the starting points of all quests are.

Ok. Thanks for the info. It makes sense if I look at the map as a two dimensional array.

You can manage this one with some careful bouncing, too.

Are you maybe playing on the PS Vita version? It won't work on the PC version, but the physics are different. For example on the PS Vita when you transform you get a small boost which makes you able to reach spots you are not supposed to reach that way.
