[
02\09\13]: I've pasted an early, bare-bones, version of a guide to µTorrent
(so far, only a partial explanation of how to customise it) into the
Spoiler: Using a .torrent file blurb, below the introductory paragraph in the first post. I'm not sure what topics would be most useful to cover so, should anyone need or want an explanation of anything
.torrent related, please feel free to ask. I had intended to offer downloads
(in both simple .zip format and SFX versions, ready to use immediately after extracting) of various
µTorrent bundles, though I'm not certain whether that would be a copyright infringement, or even
(assuming it's not) whether it would actually be of any use. A self-extracting archive is potentially a malware vector
(not that I'd intend anything of the sort, though I've no idea how I could prove that) and I don't think a simple archive would help anyone unable to do it all for themselves.
[
29\08\13]: Split off the index into a new thread and added a brief introduction. If there'd be any interest in it, I could try creating a version of the torrent with all the half-uninstalled levels sorted out. Of course, remaking the torrent would require a consensus for the switch and have the unfortunate side-effect of requiring any
Seeders to redownload all over again. The other possible addition would be a more detailed guide to installing and using a
BitTorrent Client, or even downloads of some, ready-to-run.
[
Postscript]: All comments
prior to this date were copied across
(along with the 'Torrent Contents' lists) from the
OT.
[
04\08\13]: Given that
TheYeIIowDuck hasn't logged on for half a year, would anyone object if I created a new version of this thread?
(something like an Epic Old Knytt Stories Levels Dump Redux) In addition to having the content lists readily apparent and accessible. I could add a brief introduction explaining the use of .torrent files
(with a more detailed guide in a spoiler, should that prove necessary). I would, of course, make sure to credit
TheYeIIowDuck with all the work on the .torrent
(and include links to the OT) and the respective authors with all the levels.
[
30\07\13]: Finished implementing the new formatting across the
latter half as well. Barring any suggestions or requirements from other users, I think I'm finished here. I had hoped to break the list up into more manageable chunks
(Individually by letter or in, for argument's sake, threes) but it's such an uneven spread that that might prove more of a hindrance than a help.
[
Later]: Since it was only a few minutes' worth of extra typing, I've got a version of the
indices separated by letter instead of all piled up in one huge spoiler
(An example has been appended to the Formatting Key above). If anyone finds the current form overly unwieldy, I can swap the alternative in without any additional effort.
[
27\07\13]: Implemented the tweaked formatting from the [
26\07\13] edit of the
Mods' Levels List in this half of the torrent "
Level Directory". Font-size is now directly correlated to the importance/relevance of the information;
Level and
Author names being largest, then
[Categories],
[Folder Title] and
(Notes) and finally the word "
by" before the author's name. This is intended to aid clarity so, should it not, please let me know; I still have the prior version saved, if necessary.
[
14\07\13]: The list has been fully converted to the theme-friendly alternative. As with the
Mods' Levels List, the user-profile links have had to go but I'm reasonably certain they served no purpose in this context.
[
12\07\13]: I've put together what I hope is a passingly acceptable colour-scheme using the theme-friendly colour codes. It'll take some time to retag the list here but I'll start in on it once I've changed over the Levels for Mods thread.
[
10\07\13]: I'm afraid the combination of the torrent's pretty significant volume of levels, and my overenthusiasm for relatively insignificant data, has overrun the character limit. For the time being, at least, I'll just continue on into my next post in this thread. I'll consider whether there's a better solution that could be easily implemented when I settle down to fixing the color tags for the other themes.
[
29\06\13]: In case it's of any use to anyone, I've copied out the contents of the torrent. I'm in the process of making the list more useful
(i.e. indicating which levels are unique and which are incomplete, filling out the categories and adding links to levels available elsewhere) but that's going to be a pretty major undertaking.
