[Challenge/Easy/Small] Save the high jump!
« on: March 13, 2013, 19:23:07 »
I'm working on my first level Save the high jump!.

It will be small easy challenge after learning how to use the level editor.

Story: The toasts stole Juni's high jump power-up. She must get it back.

It's not done yet, only about 17 screens (I plan about 20 or so). And I'll add some decorating stuff, animals, knytts, enemies etc. too. I know the level itself won't be so glorious as levels from other members here, but it is my first level so don't be so rude if something went wrong

And one question: Can I mark it as small or normal? I can't decide.
Finished levels:
(my first try)

20 or so screens would be a small level in my opinion. There aren't clear definitions for these things.

Toasts! I knew they were up to something!

Now I'm hungry.

Everyone has to make a first level, so don't be afraid of it.

Cute idea for a level! The screenshots look good too. I'll definitely play this when it's released.

OK, I'll mark it as small. ;)

It's based on example in the manual for the editor which I downloaded from here...but longer and better, of course.

It will be released next week I think. It needs small cosmetic changes around all the level, intro screen and music and it will be finished. :)

It looks really promising, but in the picture I can see two small mistakes:
There's missing wall behind the doors.
One tile on the ceiling is flat.
You also should put black outlined grass everywhere, even in front of the stone (if the stone is not layer 3, it could be done with using more background layers).
It will make your level look more "professional". For me, there is nothing worse than nice, playable level full of SGEs.

Ups! I didn't notice that. Thank you. It's already fixed now.
And the stone is layer 2 because it isn't a climbable (?spelling) object.

EDIT: The level is complete now. All I need to do is a compress and upload it and it will be here (on forum) on Thursday, I promise.
