Very nice level. There's just one thing that bothered me, autosave shifts. When you go into a lift it saves and you can't get back to explore what's left.

Canisters of compressed air! Water level of 9000! A very broken lift!
The level with all 3 of those things made me laugh xD
i have been registered on this forum for half of my life

I'm about half way through this level right now...just needed to stop playing and post a comment saying that it is really really fun. Best level I've played in a while. The difficulty is perfect.

I really like how you use the same screens several times by activating various components and traps. So when I pass through a section, I'm thinking "Damn! This will be tough when I turn the power on!"

Thanks for the comments everyone; glad you're all enjoying it. :D

Greyface, when you complete a level in a computer game, you can't usually backtrack to explore previous levels. That's what I was going for.
Establish careful rules for the player that they come to understand and expect. Then see 'em squirm when something goes wrong. :P

Glad you're liking the difficulty, Dave. That's always hard to get right. I kind of think there are actually two versions of 'hard'; there's hard for the people who aren't great at platformers, and there's hard for the hardcore platformers, like myself. I think there's about an equal balance of the two on these forums, so pleasing more than half the people with your difficulty is always a challenge.
But I think I've more or less got the hang of hard-core hard.

Unbelievably good -- you've nailed the gameplay, the graphics, and even the story.

I wouldn't count it a walkthrough when you cheat, but none-the-less, thank you.
Nor is it really 100% when you skip content.

I just replayed this level for the second time. It's still awesome! Sorry if this has been mentioned before or fixed in a newer version, but the lamp post in screen x1038y871 is on layer 3. How did you make the background there, level 1? It's very nice.

Thanks :D
You're the first person to notice the lamp, which surprises me 'cus I was previously sure I'd walked that way.
The backgrounds were made by a friend. All I did was make them fit as I wanted and darken them too much for when the lights went out.

I've tried to dl this a dozen times with no luck.  Mediafire doesn't like me, or my anti-ware doesn't like it.  Could you mirror this somewhere?  Google docs perhaps?  REEEALLY want to play...

Ugh, the KS Archive still will not accept this level. I'll try somewhere else when I'm not so rushed, hopefully tomorrow. Or, if anyone else wants to upload it somewhere themselves, I would not object.
