[Environmental] After the Apocalypse
« on: July 29, 2011, 00:17:09 »
The story takes place in the post-apocalyptic wasteland and starts in a destroyed building, which used to be a hospital. Wasteland explorer founds a patient sleeping in a sleepchamber, and frees him. The unknown patient starts to travel around the wasteland looking for answers. Who is she? Why she was put into the chamber? What happened to the world around him?

Right now i have about 40 screens, but it's getting bigger with a good speed. There are underground levels and high buildings.
I wanted to keep the wasteland pretty deserted for good atmosphere, but there are some enemies: Robots guarding old facilities, radiated spiders, raider traps..  There are also other wasteland wonderers and bigger communities if you know where to look.

This is my first level and also my first post to this forum. Take a look for the screens and tell me what you think!

How close is this to completion? Halfway? Almost done? Looks nice so far.

Thanks sergiocornaga & Salmoneous!

The environment is about halfway done I quess? Hard to say because the level is spontaneously getting bigger and bigger all the time. I have hardly started the storyline, but I think that i'm gonna add couple of different endings. Here's some screens from the underground vault system i'm working with right now:

This looks like it's making great use of a difficult to use tileset. I like it!

This looks really cool.  Always a fun theme.   I concur about the tileset use.  I've tried to use it and it gives me a headache.

For a first level, let a lone a level using one of Nurykabe's convoluted tilesets this looks really good! :] I'll keep my eye on this one.
A God, a Messiah, an Angel, a King, a Prince, and an All Terrain Vehicle.

Wonderful screens, particularly the ones posted last. Is this project still active?
