Which rule are you talking about?

There used to be a forum rule forbidding animated avatars (though exceptions were made for individual cases, mostly on the basis of "we think it's okay" - Paula's avatar, for example).  Paula's new, rather more attention-grabbing avatar reminded me of this, so I checked the rules and noticed that rule was gone.

ohh, hihi. well, it's not in the official rules, which have been in effect for a quite long time now, so yeah. I actually wonder if we really had that rule or just a discussion about instating one like that. And I think I remember posting that everybody could just adblock avatars (or signatures, for that matter -those can be even more annoying, because bigger and more at once) if they really bothered them...hmm. anyways, the rules that are listed in the Official Forum Rules apply, nothing else but perhaps (the sadly all-too-uncommon) common sense, I'd say.
and I should probably change my avatar back because halloween is over anyways.
