The fortunately/unfortunately game
« on: March 29, 2010, 06:49:43 »
In this game, one person says something bad that happens to the character. The next person says how the character escapes from this mishap, but then describes how something else goes wrong. The new challenge must be directly related to the character escaping from the first danger.

Example:

Generic Forum User 1: Bob is surrounded by wolves.

Generic Forum User 2: Fortunately, Bob threw a steak to distract them. Unfortunately, Bob now has no food.

So let's begin!
Bob forgot to pay his rent.

Fortunately, Bob's long lost and wealthy uncle dies leaving him enough money to pay his rent...

but Unfortunately Bob's uncle also left him a haunted labyrinth that he has to get out of before he can get his rent money.

Not really... In that game, the new challenge is unrelated to the old one.
I guess we should leave it up to the mods, though...  :/

Fortunately, the remote of the spike ceiling is in his pocket, he quickly turned it off. Then ran off to get his money.
Unfortunately, he dropped the spike ceiling remote and it's activated again.

Fortuantly, he manages to press the "off" button.
Unfortuantly, someone else has a remote, and Bob's remote broke.

Fortunately, he stumbled into a secret passageway.
Unfortunately, it's too dark to see a darned thing.

Fortuantly he has a flashlight.

Unfortuantly he doesn't know how to use it.
