[Challenge/Puzzle][Very Hard] Industrial Trap
« on: March 21, 2010, 03:57:24 »
An old factory has started up again, polluting the air. The neighboring knytt village sends Juni to investigate, but can she stop it?

This little level was started for the (what I assume is) defunct contest topic. It's focused mostly on gameplay, and sports 2 endings to it.

I got longer projects I could have been working on but it's nice to make a decent short one too.

In the second ending, you put the grass on layer 3... other than that the level was very fun to play through. Also very difficult for me. Nice work.

insane level. Right now at climb powerup. Each challange is fun because it takes some time to figure out how to do them and they are all different. Certainly among the best ks challange levels.

Gah. The challenge with the yellow key and orange blocks is easy enough once you figure it out until you have to get past the green wall-runner.

Edit: Beat it. The last challenge was so incredibly similar to one I made for a lunatic level I never released that I did it on my third try.

Beautifully designed gameplay-wise and otherwise-wise (tm). Very interesting challenges. Too bad it's too difficult for me O_o

Oh dear god this is one of the hardest levels I have ever played. I'm not ashamed to admit that I had to cheat on nearly every screen just to finish this.

I'll agree that this is one of the Very Very Hard levels. But, IMO, not really unfair enough to be Lunatic

Given that the difficulty levels are Easy, Normal, Hard, Very Hard, Lunatic, I'd think Very Very Hard would be another name for Lunatic. But that's just me. X)

I've already made up Very Lunatic, so why not Very Very Hard?

Lunatic: Dark Sea 2, Going Left.
Very Lunatic: Safety 1, 2, and 3.

I'd certainly call it Lunatic. IMO Very Hard should be more like Dark Sea - with more challenges in a raw, but with easier challenges.
I hope you aren't planning to do Very Very Lunatic levels :D

I think the difficulty of Very Very Lunatic would be more accurately portrayed as Literally Impossible. And no, I don't plan on making any (nor Very Lunatic anymore, unless someone really really wanted me to for some reason).
SG's difficult KS levels:
Very Hard: Dark Sea, Industral Trap.
Lunatic: Dark Sea 2, Going Left.
Very Lunatic: Safety 1, 2, and 3.
Misc: AdvancedAmidst the Clouds, Candy Town.

This level contains some of the best puzzle challenges I've seen in Knytt Stories. It looks great too.
