Keep getting stuck

I've recently played around with this a bit, but I keep ending up in areas that I can't get out of again... Is this just another sign of my bad Knytt-fu (i.e., my lack of skill), or are there really rather a lot of dead ends in this?

Apart from that it's fascinating, btw.
