Screenshots?
I'm not dead. Not entirely. And yes, I'm embarrassed by most of the posts I made here.

Ooh, a new puzzle/environmental level!

I've gotten as far as finding 3 items,
Spoiler: (click to show/hide)
and I think I've explored everywhere I can reach without more powerups... aside from the
Spoiler: (click to show/hide)
in order to get out again.

I found several 'secret' areas so far:
Spoiler: (click to show/hide)
(was that meant to be blank?)

The level has moments of loveliness scattered like gems in a riverbed. Most of the time it's visually subdued rather than spectacular; but, for example, there's one drop sequence between a 'just for decoration' part of the screen and a save-point where I dropped & ctrl-R'd repeatedly just to enjoy the view. You'll know where I mean, and it is truly a treat.

By the way, are you just a fan of the Artix behind AdventureQuest / DragonFable / MechQuest, or are you the Artix?

Actually, it's eggplant.

I doubt this is the real Artix. He's WAY too busy running his company and thinking up new stuff for the various AdventureQuest spinoffs.

Quite. This level is riddled with secret areas.

I remember this level quite well from the previous forum.  A classic example of a Knytt stories "old school" level.  Ahh...yes. Back in the days when levels were flying out of their creators hands at 25, 50 or 100's per week. Back when knytt stories levels weren't all gobbledy gooked up with special shifts, animations or any of them other new fangled techniques. Ahh....yes indeed. Those were the days.

V2 released.
Purple pineapple will be happy that I added a hint for yellow key where the blank sign is.

And, my name isn't at all related to Artix of Adventure Quest fame.

It shouldn't overwrite your save file.

Just beat it. I enjoyed finding all those little secrets and random characters very much :) The challenges were nice,
Spoiler: (click to show/hide)

The layout was a tad bit confusing and I really wish there were more savepoints - not in the challenges, but you know, just around the place. It was frustrating to have to walk several screens to the nearest savepoint to make sure my progress isn't lost. And also,
Spoiler: (click to show/hide)

Other than that, thanks for your work, this was one enjoyable level  :)

Well hidden. I never would've thought to look there.

finished :) boy oh boy did that sign added in v2 really help w/ the yellow key! lolz i was looping around all over the place trying to find that thing... does anyone else ever realize how you never consider things into an equation when they can't be seen
Spoiler: (click to show/hide)
anywho... yes... good level... there are a few tile glitches... like missing grass... missing edges... yadda yadda... it is a level from the past so all the fancy glitter and fireworks are missing but you kno wut... i kind of like it like that... this level stands on its own with standard tiles and music... it could use a bit more story and, i suppose, environment... if u are gonna call it an environmental level lolz... only other thing i can say is i sort of felt rather dissatisfied w/the ending :(
