Good Levels
« on: February 13, 2010, 13:12:27 »
How can I recognize a good level of KS? It's very hard to choose of these thousands of levels!
Some are small, some are big but I think, that some of them are not very good.

And what levels do you recommend?

I recommend:
All levels of Nifflas :juni:
Razzorman - Lost in storm
AlmightyZenTaco - Dark sky of the wish mountain
LPChip - An Explore Challenge

See the level topic disscusion. If others like it it should be a good level.

I generally gauge a level's quality by how much googoogjoob likes it X)
Or... I used to. Now he doesn't review levels much anymore.

Take a look at this topic about people's favorite levels:

And if that's not enough, there is another:

Yeah, but both of those threads are long dead. It would probably be good if a mod stickied one of them.

That's the problem.
What would you search, though? "Awesome" in the KS level releases board? :/
Lurk more.

On the one hand, yes, people can use the search (and I did, and found lots of recs that way) - but would it really hurt to have a stickied topic? Maybe merge several 'favourite levels'/'level recs' threads and sticky them together? Among other things, having an 'eternal' thread for favourites/recs might encourage newcomers to post their own recs/favourites there, thus creating a growing resource for the entire community...

The Great Race by B-Man is a awesome level, but it is a bit long, and it is a little hard.
