Newsfeed?

can you give us something like a small newsfeed for NightSky?
Nicalis seems to be the worst news-developer ever o_o
However, would be great to hear something about it cause it`s like an hot cherrypie in front of my eyes but behind a massive 30mm glass panel for... 1 year now?
I don`t want you to tell us something about the release date or the collaboration with nicalis, but maye you could give us an insight in your work. Just to pass the time of waiting, you know

And I can`t believe that he`s not allowed to tell me something about a plot (if there is one) or about his design ideas, some concept sketches (whoa this would be awesome) or the collaboration with Chris Schlarb.
See, I`m very interested in the creation and the ideas.
And if Nifflas don`t want to do so... okay. But it would be lovely anyways.

You have to understand that the game is property of Nicalis, not his, and thus he can't talk about the development without the consent of the company. In fact, he has stated a number of times that he is not a spokesman for Nicalis, so I wouldn't get my hopes up, if I were you. I guess there's nothing wrong with trying, though.

Right now I'm the wrong person to give you information about what, when or why. I don't know what to write news feeds about since I'm not working on NightSky right now anyway. I've been ahead of schedule which is what gave me time to work on Saira, so I can not speed up the release of the game.

Of course it will come out. Nicalis just announced with a full blown press release that Cave Story Wii is to be released on March 22, so late or not, Nicalis is capable of releasing games. Sure, as the NightSky trailer on youtube says, the game was supposed to be released 2009, but even though it's late that doesn't mean it will never happen. Just look at the mother 3 translation project. Due to the fact that the translation took a lot longer than intended, a lot of people went "It's never going to happen", yet one day the full translation was there in all its glory.

And in the meantime, I'm on my own working on yet another game which is small and a release isn't far away at all so you'll get quite some activity after the period of pre-Saira silence.

Wow, Cave Story is finally coming out.  I've been anticipating it ever since I've heard there would be a Wiimake.  Same deal with La-Mulana, which I just learned is also coming from Nicalis.  So I've been waiting for a total of three Wiiware releases from them.

It's good to see them finally making some progress visible to gamers.  The other two games hopefully aren't too far away.

Nicalis got attacked by ninjas, no doubt about it.
