you have to burn the rope is a game where you have to burn the rope. :D You have to beat a really hard boss: the grinning colossus. Any more would spoil the game.

Turns out the reason it's so slow online is because it's automatically set to Play on that website. This game, like many Flash games, only works properly when paused, as it operates largely within a single frame, progressing through frames at its own discretion.  That is also the reason why you hear every song playing at once.
I found this out by accident when screwing around with the download version.

Man, this game is so hard! I think they could've made the control scheme a little easier, and sheesh, I spent like an hour killing that last boss. You really don't expect his attacks. The game was too long, as well. I find that it takes forever to get through just the tutorial!
