If you play Touhou then beating a score like that is reasonably trivial.
Then why can't I get over 1400?
I think Dodgesquare depends a lot more on reflex and luck than Touhou. In Touhou, you need practice more than anything. Reflexes only get you so far in that game; it's only once you're familiar with each boss spell that you stand a chance dodging it reliably.
Here, I keep finding myself in a little "tunnel" with no way out exit, or I get cornered by two to four blocks in a horizontal-line formation above me and I get guillotined by a surprise fast square on my way out.
