Personalized Picture? What's that?

I'm curious about the "personalized picture" option in the profiles. What is that?

That's there so you can have the option of having no avatar. It used to be possible with "I'll upload my own picture" option, but it doesn't seem to work anymore...

Actually, it's there so you could choose an avatar from the database. But we didn't install any avatar packages, because it's not necessary and, indeed, so you'd have to be able to not use any avatar even after having used one before.

...Ah, I see. I thought it was so you could upload your own avatars to the site so you can change them without re-uploading them.
