Yeah, it went faster than I anticipated even. :)

First I performed a testcase which took me about 45 minutes (downloading the forumsoftware and backup and getting it to work on my server). This didn't affected any members

Then I've put the forum offline and made a backup of the database in about 5 minutes. I uploaded that backup to my server in another 5 minutes. I then changed the redirection, so it was only down for about 15 minutes.

Addition: I now know how to quickly move servers.

I simply would have to thank everyone on the forum for their high tolerance to my miserable failures.  (So far, I've had no projects successfully done yet.  Hopefully I'll get that straightened out.)
