Either way, short, sparse trees don't really fit with the jungle-y theme the ground shows.

Trees are easy to draw, but trees that don't look like crap are not easy to draw at all.
Yes they are, but no one seems to know how to do it.

Neither one really fits.  The first is antialiased and blurred on top, and sketchy and messy on the bottom (so it's not even consistent with itself); the tentacle plant thingies are a lot closer to the style, but still don't seem "clean" enough.  I'll try to modify them since I like the concept; will edit this post.

EDIT: Well, I didn't have time to finish, but here's what I've done.  Basically, they need tweaking before they'll really look good.

i believe that is due to switching hosts. happening with me too.
i don't have the tileset on me though, unfortunately.
