Remember the old Super Nintendo that's now rotting somewhere in your attic? Pixel art is basically recreating that type of art. Pixel by pixel. I'm not very good, but I know Utherdol is and I wouldn't be surprised if there were other pixel artists here. So post away!

Wow, nice to get a mention, especially since I've been absent for ages. Thanks, Pumpkin.

Unfortunately I don't have aything new to show - my laptop died recently, taking with it all my various works-in-progress. However, here's a small selection of what was on my USB (all old avs).

Even though I have to create lots of 'pixel art' for my games, I seldom create pixel art just for the art. There are however 2 pieces that I created just for the fun of pixelling something.

It's great to see that there are lots of people interested in pixel art though :)

AWESMOE. But the buildings in the first could use some anti-aliasing.

Any program is fine for pixel art, even ms paint to some degree.
There is no pixel art filter. Its hand drawn.

wut? ms paint is perfect for pixelart. No, I mean what else is it good for? Sure it got some downsides and lack many things but it is easy and quick to use. I prefer ms paint for pixelart over many programs like gimp and photoshop.

I use MSpaint to pixel things and then Paint Shop Pro in case I need layering.
Though while making games I just use the MMF 2 default system, spritesheets would be too much of a job.

That's good for a first attempt a isometric. I could never do it myself. P: But I do know a few good tutorials.
