Music for an FPS game and Testing
« on: September 05, 2009, 03:26:15 »
(sorry if this is the wrong section)Hello! I am making a 3D fps game and I need some custom music for it.  This will be a free game and all you will really get is your name in the credits of the game. I need around 9 songs for a dugeon game with a sort of creepy feel. The game is a reasonably okay game, and an ad for it can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6vVna1omBmg
Cheers
~Willomo
EDIT- If anyone is interested I need people to test this game and report bugs and bad parts. send me a message if you want to test it and you will get your name/username and/or website in the credits.(the file size is big though)

The elephant is a graceful bird,
It flies from bough to bough.
It nestles in the rhubarb tree,
and Whistles like a cow.

I'm back baby.

Just saying I'm not really interested sorry.
But you could look in the development showcase for some nice music and ask if you could use them.

I'll make you a track. How long do you want it to be? Any preference as to the mood (other than "creepy") or the instruments used?

I could try and make some with GMS Game music system, Soundblaster 16 style music :D!
Click the Holoskull for my newest project... (Its on hold due to Doombuilder issues). And all my old levels are here

Thanks!

I'm not sure how to do that....

Anywhere between 1 minute an 5minutes (2 or 3 would be ideal)
I'm not sure what you mean by "the mood" but other than creepy or spooky I would have to say something not too cheery but not too dull, if you know what I mean? Would you like some screenshots?(I've changed the walls since that ad.)
I could try and make some with GMS Game music system, Soundblaster 16 style music :D!
I'm not sure what that is, but thanks!
Thanks Feline Monstroity, Lizzaroro and Dataflashsabot would you like your names in the credit like that, or would you prefer to be under another name? If you have a website I can link to that if you want.
I didn't expect anyone to be interested!
 So thanks a lot

I'm not sure how to do that....
As long as there's a space in front of the url, it should work like a url tab.
Lurk more.

A screenshot or two would be good, especially since I'm on dialup and can't view the video :(

Out of curiosity, what are you making this in?

(And just Dataflashsabot would be fine for me :) )

Thanks for adding me! Anyway, Soundblaster 16 is an old DOS sound card, used for nearly every DOS game. Heres an  converted sample of one of the songs i'm making.

I like it! It's distracting which makes the game kinda harder because the attention is elsewhere(that's good by the way)

Also I got some recycled Soundblaster music that I'm also using for one of my smaller levels too. But you can use them too.

First one is for Cold sorta area's, and the second one is made for Dark quiet area's.
