Caverns 2[normal/enviromental]
« on: August 17, 2009, 11:11:35 »
OK, I have to admit I have only done 401 screens but that's already about ....90% finished already.
Just so you know, Caverns 1 was 390 screens.
(for people that have played caverns) what was good about that level? size? originality? creativeness? challenges?

this level will sort of have a darker theme, although there will still be happy bright areas. some tilesets will appear again, but in different ways, and combined with different tilesets.

I think that overall, this will be better that caverns.
here are some screenies.

What I liked about cavers 1 was the level design. But if you could do this one larger then caverns 1 it would be great. And perhaps a story?

Yay! Caverns 2!

What I love about Caverns? Prettiness, variety, size. And the fact that, while there are some tricky challenges in it, it doesn't try to kill you all the time, and there are areas that you can basically just take a nice relaxing stroll in. :-)

Love these screenies for the sequel, especially the third one!

Those screens are among the best I've seen, for being default tilesets. The quality of those screens is as good as Nifflas or even better, seeing the original design in them.

Wouldn't that be "awesmoEness?" And I wasn't sure I could subjectify that adjective... ;-)

I thought I might bump this up because it's been a long time since my last update and now that I gotten up to 50% finished I have lots of new areas.
I'll post a picture, but only one because I don't want to spoil you too much. ;)

:jawdrop:

I WANT IT!
I'm not dead. Not entirely. And yes, I'm embarrassed by most of the posts I made here.
