[Small/Challenge/Hard] Seaweed
« on: August 11, 2009, 21:16:31 »
Hey everyone, I decided to release another level which I almost abandoned but with a few crude doodles and a custom ambience, I have decided to release it. Hopefully someone can figure out my inspiration for it, but now I give you all...

Seaweed

Interresting. A sort of sky flower type underwatery.. thing. It may be possible with the warps to bypass the monsters on the bottom, though.
Lurk more.

!!!

The level is great. But mayyybe you should add some better graphics.
I guess that the level is inspired by Skyflower?
The graphics there are nearly perfect and I don`t wan`t you to copy them, but somehow... there`s a lack of beautyness. But as I said... great work

Thanks everyone, sorry for the graphics but this tileset was made a long time ago and I tried to keep it simple

And whoever said Skyflower was correct :)

Well, it does feel liek a bit more chaotic and creepy Skyflower... Not sure I like it, but I don't think I DON'T like it, if that makes sense :P.

One problem though. If You don't pick up the eye, and then save on tho last savespot as you fall, you're stuck in an endless loop of falling to your doom.

A few screen transitions near the bottom I was not able to see where I was going as much as I would have liked, resulting in "*poof* Wha- what happened!?".  Overall I liked it, though.

Since I gave it a 50% transparent blue 6th layer Blue CO, it made it a little harder near the bottom :)

Am I supposed to need climb going back up?

Don't think climb's in this level. (Wow. Already I forgot. X))

This level was a good SkyFlower-clone with an overuse of ghost-blocks and nice, minimalistic graphics. It was kinda hard at places, but not so difficult that I'd give up. Lacks save points near bottom. Anticlimactic ending. Take these things into mind for next time....

...and you still make cool tilesets! What happened to those you'd made during the time of the old forum?

Anyways, this level is a 6/10, playable and enjoyable, nothing spectacular, (there's already been a great level with the same concept,so...) but nice graphics!

I seem to recall starting a shift-animation frenzy and increased fascination in Juni's transparent body.

Nice level, although at the bottom save points are lacking IMO. Also some platforms near the surface make me think of potato crisps
