[Challenge] Tv Sciences Testing Facility

Hey, everyone! This is just a small preview of a level I'm working on. It's intended mainly as a challenge level, although I'll be making it aspretty, and ambient as I can.

By the way, kudos to anyone who picks up the subtle parody in the title of the game.

The story thus far contained on the game is fairly simple. You find yourself in a strange testing facility. You know nothing of the mission behind this facility, or or of the people (or things) who run it.

I'd like to know where I could post a playable demo of what I have so far? I intend to release it in an episodic nature, with what I have so far being the first "episode". Every new release will contain everything before it, so I'm not comfortable posting it in the "finished" levels subforum quite yet. Any input on that would be great.

Anyway, enough of tl;dr-ness. A few screenshots here!

•Post previews of KS levels or present an idea you have about that. You can post screenshots or a story outline here, for example. You CANNOT post a playable level here, The Knytt Stories Level Archive is for that.

I like the screenshots! But you might want to try to retake the second one for two reasons: 1. It's not good if you have to cheat to get somewhere in your own level, but more importantly, 2. You can see the white glow left over from teleporting.

This game looks cool. If you want to make a demo, put it on the level archive and tell us about it here. I've never seen any objection to that.

The numbers in the second screenshot. 4 and 16. They're part of THE numbers! 4 8 15 16 23 42! AH RUN!

...Seriously, though, it does look cool. :o Though it can't be Challenge/Environmental, according to the mods.

Ah, that screenshot.. I didn't have to cheat to get to that location, but I did have to freeze little Juni to get a decent shot. Photoshop + Knytt level editor + Knytt Stories + Chrome + MSN disagrees with computers that were low-end in 2005.. yeah.

Anyway, with my 'net connection back, I can upload the latest version. I'll grab some more screenshots later, but for now I need sleep.

And yep, those ARE two of "those" numbers. I'm hoping someone will get the pun in the title once they've actually played it.

Edit: Just so you all know, the last screen to the left is the one with a little water, and those.. rounded house things in the background. And yes, it is possible to climb up and into the screen above. In fact, there may just be someone living there..

Ding ding! I used "Tv" Sciences since, on Canon cameras, that's the "shutter speed" priority mode. Portal = Aperture Science. Shutter speed, aperture? A bit daft, but who really cares?

That's a pretty big stretch there.

It was really intended as a kind of easter egg, but truth be told, I'm thinking of a name change. I mean, I came up with the name a while before I started making the game, and as things are turning out... leaving the name as-is would be like calling Final Fantasy VII "Anti-government Organisation Makes a Reactor Go Boom".
