Knytt tile set question.

Am I allowed to use custom tile sets for things other than knytt stories if I credit the creator?

The ones that are shipped with Knytt Stories can only be used in knytt stories. Custom ones should be asked to the author.

If I remember correctly, Nifflas set up the restriction that all tilesets that got submitted for the standard library are only to be used within Knytt Stories. Practically as one of the entering requirements.

Isn't the Machine one of the expansions? The ones that he'd not like to be used elsewhere?

...no the Machine is the level that comes with KS, and uses only default tilesets.

Strange dream, skyflower, underwater adventure and unfinished level is from the expansion, the tilesets in those are not allowed to use.

Yeah, uh, TLIU's tilesets are default and not even drawn entirely by Nifflas; you can use those.
