[Normal/Hard] [Challenge] Nameless
« on: July 17, 2009, 00:16:12 »
This is a story of a desolate land that had no name. Not much else to say about that, the rest is explained in the intro. Anyways, this level has entirely custom tilesets. You have to venture the land and find 3 keys, and head up to the floating factory. Features 2 endings. :D

I found the red key. I really liked this level. The look of it is, sorry to say, somewhat drab but finding the powerups and the keys was just puzzly enough that when I did find them it was with audible "ahahs!"

Short and sweet, but good game play. Fine work.

Nope, the umbrella isn't in the level, unfortunately. If I did put it in, it would have to be in the path to the good better ending. I intentionally had a part where you couldn't go back just so I wouldn't have to add more sky screens. If you look in the editor, you'll see a lot of sky screens, possibly 100 of them.  XD

To be honest, this level isn't very appealing.
You went to all the trouble of drawing tilesets, but didn't put any effort into making the actual screens, and thus the whole level comes off as half-hearted.  It's unfortunate; with more time, this could really have been something.

If you'll look at the tilesets, there aren't any background tiles.

Yesh, that was one thing I forgot to do that I should've remembered. The only "background" tiles I ever made were in the airbase/factory tileset, and that wasn't very much. Don't worry, though. The level I'm working on right now has background tiles where needed.
