Im thinking of getting minecraft soon!
Seems like fun!

Quick question: I know that if you bought during alpha, you get free updates to beta and beyond, but if you buy now, in beta, will you get free updates?
Or would I have to rebuy when it finishes development?

Probably free updates as well, else that would be a low blow... :(

Anyways, jimj316 sent me the level file, so NiffWorld is back up!
Instead of #JESoA, the IRC channel is now #bumper, still on EsperNet (irc.esper.net).
Now to poke a Badger!...

For future refrence, I'll be on "amaker" until I decide to get a new account... which will probably be never.

Edit: Also, access denied to the irc.esper.net. Fail much? Oh, and how can I tell when you're online? (Can't get onto chat rooms at all)

For now you'll just need to see if I'm online on the forum. :(
I'll try to find a way to show if the server is online... (it is online a time of posting :P)

The thing is, to be considered online the forum, you have to do something every 5 minutes. If you do not, it considers you offline.

I'm a refresh addict, so won't be much of a problem. :P

EDIT: There we go! :D

Free updates? I bought the game when it was in the beta version and did hear alpha buyers get free updates but don't even know what that mean. So updates won't be free? What sort of updates are they? However it's way too greedy.. Considering a game development team on like 10 people already making millions.

edit:
minecraft isn't free so this thread shouldn't be here. it should be locked...
edit2:
oh it's about minecraft classic.

I can't ping it from my end either, and I'm not behind a firewall.

This while the page itself says the server is online.

Maybe specify the port? Then make it:

83.82.0.146:25565

EDIT: This shouldn't be the problem though, but I asked someone else to ping me who didn't get a response without the port, for the game 25565 is default anyway.

Griefers attacked, so I had to whitelist the server. If you want to join, send me a message with your Minecraft username.
