This level is great.
Although lacking in design and with some challenges a bit too hard, (I had to peek in the editor thrice to add savepoints and delete hte annoying "enter the screen and it explodes"-thingies) it has an atmosphere that just want me to play on and on (took me 3 hours at least) and there's also this great fact that the level never seems to end, there's a new twist whenever I thought I'd finish the level.

I've got one thing to say about the end tho......ANTICLIMACTIC.

So, for your next level, work more on the graphics and a better real ending.

7/10

I seem to recall starting a shift-animation frenzy and increased fascination in Juni's transparent body.

Oh, snoot.  I thought I got rid of the exploding glitch, but I left a second worse one in its place.  Fixed and uploaded!

Wow. Just got done playing this, and... wow. Loved the music, loved the level design, especially loved the final stage. I think it could probably use more save points, especially during the hot/cold section.

I did find one minor glitch, though I'm not sure if you've addressed it between my download and when I actually got around to playing it.

Spoiler: (click to show/hide)

That aside, it's an excellent level. The plot twists were a very welcome addition and there were some very clever moments.
If I sound like I know what I'm talking about, you probably misread my post.

KenoguLabz, did you get permission from those artists to use their music in your levels?  I know Skaven states on his FAQ that it's okay, but I don't know of anything similar for the other artists. (Also, I used to know ElectroPiZZa.  In, like, 2001.  Sort of.)

No; however, as this is not being sold, and there is no way to contact most of the composers personally (all these files were from the MOD archive, except virt's), I believe these are considered pubic domain, as long as I give credit where it's due.  Correct me if I'm wrong, please!

And you knew ElectroPiZZa in person? That's sweet! 8D

Modarchive's modules all fall under a free distribution license unless otherwise noted.  That isn't public domain, that isn't even creative commons; you're violating it by converting them to Ogg Vorbis format and placing them within your level.

To be honest, though, I doubt the composers would complain if they knew of this level's existence.  I certainly wouldn't advise removing it.  In these situations where artists are simply unreachable, sometimes you have to just "take the risk," so to speak.

(This is why I've started making music for my own productions :P)

Hi!!! I discovered Knytt Stories only a month ago. Rainfall is the first game I downloaded from the forum, and now that I finished it, I can only say Congratulations Kenogu!!!!!!

I love this level and this game, and I will surely play many other levels.

I found 2 void glitches:

- A "void" way to the secret room, using a double-jump.
- An infinite fall to a void screen after avoiding the hedgehog using the umbrella.

Thank you for your game and sorry for my english, because I'm spanish!  8)

Thanks, ErSorro, glad you liked it!  I fixed those two glitches, thanks for pointing them out. :)

It's been awhile since this was posted, but I've made a small trailer to go with the level.  The resolution is screwed up (note to self: don't use strange window size when screen capturing), but it's the best I can do with the tools I have for now.  The song playing is, again, Virt's "Aspire".

This should be the final update I ever add onto this topic, so:

The level is now available on the Knytt Stories Level Archive!

[Download]

I'll put it up as a mirror on the first post as well.

Great music, good graphics, but some flaws in design.
Spoiler: (click to show/hide)
Very good level overall.

thecroyo has kindly created a Let's Play of this level.  He had a lot of fun making it, and I'd encourage you to take a look!
