[Exploration / Pixel Style] Standard Bit
« on: June 11, 2009, 09:03:15 »
Type:
A heavy yet confusing exploration game...

Description:
Standard bits or StdBits for short is an exploration game about a pixel.
I quote "Standard Bits is an abstract exploration game in an ultra-low resolution field. The main character is a single pixel, and the left analog joystick (or arrowkeys) is your only control in an environment populated with entities that actively seek to attack you, as well as creatures that follow and protect you.

You may also encounter ambivalent hazards and innocuous inhabitants going about their own pixellated business.? Based on your interaction with the world, you can create complex behavior through simple input.

Pass over the white boxes to change your starting point if you are destroyed."

It is very unusual and thought i should share this  :D

Please add a proper image or I'll have to remove the topic. You can simply play the game, make a screenshot and get that up. Having no images is no excuse.

A point...

Sure, having no story isn't necessarily a bad thing, but the trial-and-error gameplay along with the visually unappealing um... visuals make this just ...boring. I gave up after a few dozen screens.

And I had such high hopes.

A pig! YAY!
anyways, I agree with utherdoul about this. At the very, VERY beginning it is okay, but gets pointless fast.

That's because you haven't reached the extreme hysteria region. Though, having gotten very far, and then being warped back to the start annoyed me greatly.
Lurk more.
