MS paint transparency: A how-to
« on: June 01, 2009, 08:06:51 »
This is a manual for anyone who can't make transparency work in MS paint. Please excuse my total noobishness, for I do know how to make tilesets transparent. Use magenta (red 255, green 0, blue 255) whereever you need transparency. If the magenta shows up in the editor, the problem is simple. If you copied tileset 0 from the data banks and used it as a template, that's your probelm. But it is easily fixed. Select (with the rectangular select tool) the whole image, and copy it. Create a new image and paste your image there after resizing it to the right size (I think only the vista version of paint has crop.) and save it as a .png, and replace the tileset in which the transperency doesn't work with it. I hope this helped anyone who is having trouble, as I did, with MS paint transparency. :)

Check out my tilesets!
