Can't open Knytt Stories

I just got my first PC after a long time with Macs. Running Windows 8. Downloaded the game. When I click on the icon it doesn't open. Maybe my ignorance of PCs....

I have Win 8, now 8.1, and have had no issues. You may have the old issue where virus protection kills the multimedia fusion sub-application. You may need to tell your virus software to play nice with strdt.exe See this topic for greater detail.

Thanks. Uninstalled McAfee and turned on Windows Defender and it works fine.
