« on: April 14, 2009, 02:11:56 »
Type:
The type is a first person shooter

Description:
"Urban Terror can be described as a Hollywood tactical shooter; somewhat realism based, but the motto is "fun over realism". This results in a very unique, enjoyable and addictive game.

No registration required: Download, install, play!"

That is a quote from the Urban terror website
Urban terror is a mod from the quake 3 engine, but luckly you dont have to have quake 3 to run it :)
I guess you can say that this is similar to Counter Strike but it is different in many ways, no:1 its FREE! FREE i tell you  no:2 its has acrobatic skills mixed in it like wall jumping, sliding and so on no:3 its realisim based so if you get shot you'll start bleeding thus you have to press q to bandage yourself, r to reload once you run out of bullets (doesnt do it automaticily) and many other things.
It has modes such as Bomb & Defuse, Capture & Hold, Capture the Flag, Free for All  Follow the Leader, Team Deathmatch, Team Survivor  and im pretty sure there is just a Survivor

Misc Information
I found this game a while back and im addicted.
I play on =-KMA-= Public CTF usually

I used to play this a lot last year.
It is surprisingly fun.

I like the weapons selection system, the choices you make really change play style (although the nightvision goggles are way overpowered for snipers)

The acrobatics are fun as well, sometimes it's fun to load up a map on your own and figure out some wall jump combos, then go and put them to use online. Also, if you can find two parallel walls, try wall jumping back and forth high enough to kill you on your way down ^_^

Overall a quite fun game to play, I'll definitely play again when I get back to my gaming machine.

<Gaeel> Wait are we really having this conversation?
<Dataflashsabot> I think we might be a figment of Gaeel's twisted imagination...
