Editor problems
« on: November 11, 2012, 02:14:07 »
So, after being busy and having other computer issues, I finally have time (and desire) to work on making Knytt Stories levels again. However, when I try to run the editor I get this message every time.

Spoiler: (click to show/hide)

I can run the game just fine (just got around to beating Many Islands in fact). Only the editor causes this. I think it has something to do with the third party tools. I'm super cautious about computer things so I don't just want to allow it without getting info about it. I've checked around online but can't find anything about the specific "threat" I'm getting. I was wondering if anyone here might have some insight about this.

stdrt.exe is the name of the compiler programs made with MMF2 uses. which can sometimes be from malicious programs.
Here are some related threads:

So basically, the editor its probably not infected but white-listing stdrt in general could be potentially dangerous.
There's 110011 kinds of people in the world. Those who understand binary, Those who don't, and those who confuse it with ASCII.

Ah, thank you for the info. I feel silly for not searching it up first. <_<
