Computer crashes and restarts when running NightSky from Steam

Hey guys; I just bought NightSky on Steam during the Because We May game sale. I've downloaded it from within Steam and tried to boot it up also within the Steam client, but after the little popup window that says the developer name and whatnot my computer completely restarts, three times out of three.

I've been poking around trying to find an answer to my problem, and here's what I know so far:

- My graphics card is an NVIDIA GeForce 6600
- There are records of problems with NVIDIA drivers and the 1.0 version of NightSky
- My drivers are up to date
- My graphics card supports OpenGL 2.0
- I'm running Windows XP
- I have plenty of RAM
- I have no idea what is wrong

If you can help me out I'd really like to give this game a try!  :S

This is just a wild guess, but by 'up to date' do you mean the video drivers you have are the latest available? Or the latest for your specific graphics card? Yours is legacy hardware, so maybe if you're using drivers that don't support it you might have problems with some games.

The latest for my graphics card, I guess. I went to the manufacturer's website and downloaded & installed whatever it told me I needed.

Hmm. I suppose that could be it. I'll look into replacing my graphics card, then.
