Broken Games
« on: November 10, 2010, 22:06:35 »
Today I went to play Knytt Stories, and when I try to play levels, they instantly crash.
Some levels have the tilesets replaced by default ones, but I checked the folders, to find that all the tilesets are intact.
Any suggestions?

Try reinstalling Knytt Stories. If that doesn't work, try to remember what has changed since the last time your levels worked. If there's an error message after the crash, you may as well post it.

Won't that erase all my games?

All your games and saves are in the Saves and Worlds subfolders of the Knytt Stories installation folder. If you simply unpack the KS zip file onto the same folder, your levels and saves won't be deleted, only the data, executables and the two levels included with the game will be overwritten.

If you want to do a clean reinstallation, you could also copy the Saves and Worlds subfolders somewhere else, then delete your KS installation, install it again and then copy the two subfolders into it.
