ALERT!: Firefox images are going insane
« on: August 10, 2010, 09:26:56 »
My images I view on firefox browser, are not as colorful or vibrant. It is as if a thin coat of white layer has gone over them. My computer though is fine.

What may be causing this?

Hmm, it does look a little washed out... but i wouldn't call it insane.

try clearing your cache, history and cookies, then restarting the browser and refreshing the page, that might work. other than that, it could be an issue with your installation (these things go spaz after a while). try re-installing the latest firefox.

Which brings me to another point. when did this happen? was it an official update to ff, or was it an add-on update. if so, was the addon anything to do with firefox's GUI, etc, etc, etc
I'm not dead. Not entirely. And yes, I'm embarrassed by most of the posts I made here.

Please salmoneous, be more thoughtful of your comments. You may not like a particular item, but that does not make it OK to troll about it. And please, no browserwarz.

Evil, sounds like you need to re-install

What do you use?

I use google chrome. It's ten times faster, doesn't crash for no reason and has no problem with stuff like images. It's pretty much better then firefox in all possible ways.
You should try it out.

How much were you paid to go around advertising it?

Seriously, Google has a lot of money to burn, so why wouldn't they pay people to go around advertising their browser in the most obscure corners of the interwebz?

I'm not saying Chrome is bad, I mean, it works alright, and it's fast and whatever.

But really, if you think it's a browser-related issue, you could suggest trying out another browser, not advertising another one.
