what just happened?
« on: February 22, 2010, 07:28:25 »
Why has the forum deleted posts from now to 24 hours ago? Even some of my edits have dissapered and thaere's no claim that there's ever been an edit.

I believe this to be a conspiracy. Enlighten me, please.

...and according to main page, this thread does not exist.
Something is seriously frakked up.

I have no idea what you're talking about.

Can you explain to me in more detail what you experience with links to posts with what you expect to find and what happened? Then I can start an investigation.

This happened to me as well. I just reposted everything, but still...

Maybe we entered some sort of dimensional rift for 24 hours. :P2

Again, can I have examples? In order for me to start an investigation with my hosting, I need to have some extra info.

Here's an example:

My topic about my KS level "The Puzzle Room" had at least 3 more posts last time I checked. Now they are gone, and the post I edited is no longer edited...

Another one:

In another KS level topic, "The Room ov Death", it says that the last post was made by me yesterday, when in fact drwright made the latsest 2 days ago.

Another one:

It says on the main page that the latest post in the Temp KS-board was in "Grey" when it in fact was in "Dark Sea"

Edit:

BLÄÄÄ! It works perfectly normal on Firefox, but I despise Firefox! So now I guess I'll have to use the abomination  :(

Is it really that hard to add links to the posts? Took me quite some time to find the topics... :(

Things look normal on my end. And since you report things to be normal on firefox too, can you clear your cookies and temporary internet files from Internet Explorer (or whatever browser you're getting these problems with)

It looks like you're seeing an old cached page instead of the currently active one.

I have been having similar problems. I am using firefox 3.6, and no matter what sub-forums I visit here, what topics I read, the activity ball icon (or bar) remains saying that there are unread posts, even if I was lat to post in that board. I have Emptied ALL my cookies, history and site preferences to no avail

NINJAEDIT: Just realized this never happened in 3.5... I'll look into this

It would be ... difficult to post in offline mode, wouldn't it  C)p
As it turns out it's a combination of FireFox 3.6 and a security addon that doesn't work on it.
Fixed

The most common cause of this, by far, is the browser cache; clearing it will usually fix everything right up.  For the record, this happens way more with Internet Explorer than with Firefox, but it does occur with both.
