D Fast - Get Caught (trip-hop/chillout)

Slight update:

I put the album to Bandcamp so now you can get it at a better quality than before - and of course for free! Also if you'd like a physical copy, it's now easier to order.

-------------------------------------

Hello yall!

To celebrate my 10th anniversary of tracking, I decided to toss my first concrete album released in 2007 for free. I still have some copies left of the actual CD version, so those who are interested may still get something touchable (5 eur + postage).

D Fast - Get Caught

Direct link to the whole album zipped.

31 minutes and 12 seconds worth of chillout, trip-hop and little hip-hop with all sort of jazzy and funky influences. Those who've played Nifflas' games might recognize the last track.

Tracklist:

01 Devotion feat. Free Soul
02 Hangman
03 Nature story feat. Free Soul
04 They knew it first
05 Disgust feat. Free Soul
06 The idea behind a creation feat. Timi Lexikon & Free Soul
07 Froggie's trip (to the edge of the world)
08 North & south

Enjoy!

I've never heard such an interesting mix of hip-hop and ambient sounds!  I prefer the tracks with no voices, but that's just my personal taste (I prefer instrumentals and electronic sounds).  Who is that woman?  Are the voices premade or do you know these people?

My favorite tracks are Disgust and Froggie's Trip.  And of course North and South is a masterpiece, that goes without saying.  It's a very neat and enjoyable album overall. :D

Definitely buying this. After I heard the remixed tracks for

I had a massive braingasm. Question though; Did you remake those in ModPlug or did you use something with a bit more oomph (i.e. FL Studio, Reason)?

I reworked the tracks with Renoise, which is my main software nowadays together with Cubase. Before Renoise I was using Fast Tracker 2, I did try FL Studio at one point but Renoise felt like the right tool for me - basically it felt like a massively updated FT2.

Glad you like the music!
