Level Archive upload problem
« on: July 05, 2012, 10:57:51 »
I'm trying to upload a level on the archive, but after clicking 'Upload' after selecting the knytt.bin file, it loads for about two minutes and then stops, but the page stays the same, except the file I chose becomes: 'No file chosen'. I've tried doing it several times, even on different internet browsers, but it doesn't seem to show up on the 'Download Levels' list. Please help! Thanks.

Talps and I had the same problem a while back.
We posted it in the level editor support forum.  Both of our levels were large, but still within the filesize limit, but it just wouldn't work.

The power of poetry comes from the ability to defy logic. Defy logic often.

Use a metaphor and tell us that your lover is the sky. Tell us that your lover is the sky. When you do that, we won't believe you. We won't believe you because saying so makes no sense, but we'll see a meaning. We'll see a meaning.

The other thing is the ability to be remembered. Love anything.

Somehow missed this.

Still... I want to know what the exact filename of the level is, in case it uploads fine to the server, but due to a naming issue, it cannot move the file, which results in an upload failure.

It's called 'gamerjc21 - Cave Escape.knytt' and it's within the file size limit.

Trying to upload my level still doesn't work, so I uploaded it on Mediafire. The download link is here: http://www.mediafire.com/?o1jjro5hyjydzrj

Also, regarding a level I'm working on, is it okay if I use two music tracks from Cave Story for WiiWare (which apparently was composed by Nurykabe and Nifflas)?

I had this trouble with 'I Dreamed of the Sky'. Leave it a few days and try again. Uploading it to Mediafire is fine in the meantime.

The archive has bad days.
