Recommended Stories

I just played through Knytt and Knytt stories and absolutely loved them. Can you guys recommend me some custom stories to play? There are so many here and I don't know where to start.

My favorite levels are the ones by Talps. He's got five or six at this point, but they are much harder than the original stories. "Eurydice" and "I Dreamed of the Sky" are my personal favorites.

"Dark Sky of Wish Mountain" is an easy, Nifflas-like level.

Make sure you play "Don't Eat the Mushroom" for some real fun (super easy)

"Don't stop running" is also a lot of fun, but more difficult.

"The Great Race" by B-Man sticks in my mind as well.

I liked "Gustav's Son" by Polana... it was fun and humble.

Once you are an expert, play the "Dark Sea" levels.


And definitely check out the Level Release subforum and the recent Epic Levels Competition. Cosmic Meltdown" and "The Tower of Lightning" were both worth playing.

All levels from this thread are realy epic and fun! Did You know that Frozen Mountain 2 is propably the best - ever - maded level? Just check the comments. Check all levels by Talps. They're very cool. Also I recommand these levels: Shipwrecked, A Knytt in Time, Return to Riku Island, Sohe and the rrokked and Little Gothic Doll.

Hmm... I would recommend these six levels, especially if you want to make your own levels as I have found them very inspirational. This selection also does a good job of showcasing the different things Knytt Stories can be.

Well, though some of them have been mentioned already, every level on this list is worth a look, at the least. I'm also a big fan of Hmph's levels, of which there are three:
Jumping in the Rain (Her first level, and while it shows there are still some very pretty screens here.)
Falling Water Part 1 (Though it's not finished yet.)
Remembering the City (My favorite after Falling Water.)
Then there's altf4 by 14, which is very obscure and very surreal but also very good.

I would recommend you any level by Dessgeega, they are easy but beautiful. If you like some mysterious atmosphere, you should play something by StrangeDarkness. Another really good ones are Riku island (envriromental maze), Shipwrecked or community level Endless winter.

If you are going to make your levels, you should play Badly built level by HeadGrinder and Knytt Syndromes by Dessgeega - they will show you things to avoid in very funny way.

I'm gonna basically agree with Sergio, excepting Don't Stop Running that was too hard for me.
Also I'd add Too Much Soda by KG and the Jolio series by Noi.

I've been playing these levels by DaveGermainGames... they're actually pretty good and well-polished. Right now my favorite is NanoKnytt... it's a unique premise that lends itself well to the platform, especially certain enemies.
