Which version do you prefer, Sergiocornaga? I'm keeping this level in my personal archive and I don't remember having trouble with the contrast, so I'll keep whichever version you think is best.

That's a tough question since the difference is so small. I'd suggest version 2, in case you ever have to play it on a less than optimal screen. If you're really into jarring colour combinations, choose version 1 since the background has more of a green tint, which looks pretty weird juxtaposed against the purple tileset.
