KS water animation
« on: January 22, 2011, 19:45:25 »
I want to make some new running water COs for a level I'm working on, but I'd like to know how many frames are in the original water fall object.  That way, I can match the animation better.  Even better would be the original animation, which doesn't seem accessible in any KS data directories.

Any help please?

Apparently, the DS port have the objects as external spritesheets. Maybe you should look there.

Edit: The waterfall its 18 frames long and the waterfall top 10 frames long.

There's 110011 kinds of people in the world. Those who understand binary, Those who don't, and those who confuse it with ASCII.

Uhm... Ok, another question.  Does anyone know what % of transparency the waterfalls are internally set to?  Because apparently the pngs themselves are not transparent.

I suppose that, because of the technical limitations the DS has, transparency is handled differently (if at all) in the port.

Another way to get the Objects spritesheets would be to extract them right from the MMF2 source file: I can't help you with that since I don't have MMF2.

Hmmm.... I may just have to mess with it until I get close enough.

EDIT:  In case any one wants to know, it appears to be 65%.

EDIT 2:  Uhm... make that 60%.  (Didn't have my glasses on)
