I have, and I bet many other people have too. I agree with you, it feels like it was made by a company like nintendo during the nes era or by a indie game maker like vvvvvvv that charged money. I would never expect it to be freeware.

sorry for the double post but I gots something major. Cave story is being remade for the 3DS! that means that the game's art style will be completely different. Look at the scan from nintendo power for more info.
